Privacy Policy — Grunge Lives Here
Last updated: August 22, 2026
Grunge Lives Here is a live-music production company based in South Florida. This policy explains what information we collect from you, why we collect it, what we do with it, and how you can get it removed.
1. Who we are
"Grunge Lives Here" (also "we", "us", "our") produces live music events and filmed live-session series in South Florida. Grunge Lives Here is operated by XENIAT, CORP.
We are the party responsible for the information described in this policy. You can reach us any time at me@grungeliveshere.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us directly
- Contact form on this website — your name, phone number, email address, and the content of your message.
- Band contest submissions — when you apply to our opener contest, whether by email or through a form on Facebook or Instagram, we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), the name of your band, a link to a video of your performance, your general location, and your confirmation that you are 18 or older (or have guardian consent) and that the music you submitted is original.
- Email correspondence — anything you send us about press, bookings, partnerships or sponsorship.
Information collected automatically
- Standard server log data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the pages you visit on this site. This is used to keep the site working and to understand general traffic patterns.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive information. Please do not send us government ID numbers, financial account numbers, health information, or passwords through our forms or by email. If you do, we will delete it.
3. Facebook and Instagram lead forms
We run advertising on Facebook and Instagram that includes instant lead forms. If you submit one of those forms, Meta Platforms, Inc. passes the information you entered to us so that we can contact you about the contest or opportunity you applied to.
Meta also processes that information under its own terms. You can read Meta's Privacy Policy at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/. Information you submit through a Meta lead form is handled by us according to this policy from the moment we receive it.
4. How we use your information
We use the information we collect only for the following purposes:
- To review and respond to band contest submissions, and to contact selected and non-selected applicants about the outcome.
- To answer questions you send us about press, bookings, partnerships or sponsorship.
- To send you information about our events, only where you have asked us to, and always with a way to unsubscribe.
- To operate, secure, and improve this website.
- To comply with the law and to enforce our terms.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal effects for you.
5. We do not sell your information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone, for any purpose, ever.
We share information only in these limited situations:
- Service providers that help us operate — for example our website host, our email provider, and Meta for advertising and lead delivery. They may only use the information to provide their service to us.
- Legal requirements — if we are required to disclose information by law, subpoena, or a valid government request.
- Your explicit request — for example if you ask us to introduce you to a venue or a partner.
6. Contest submissions and your material
When you submit a video link to our band contest, you confirm that the music and the recording are yours, or that you have the right to submit them. We use the link only to evaluate your submission and, where a public voting round applies, to present the finalists.
Submitting to the contest does not transfer ownership of your music or your video to us. You keep everything you own. If you are selected as a finalist and you would rather we not display your material publicly, tell us and we will not.
7. How long we keep it
- Contest submissions — kept for up to 24 months so we can consider your band for future editions, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Contact form messages and email — kept for as long as needed to handle your request and for our records afterwards.
- Server logs — kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting.
When we no longer need information, we delete it.
8. Your rights
Whatever state or country you are in, you can ask us to:
- Access the information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
- Delete your information from our records.
- Stop sending you emails, at any time.
Email me@grungeliveshere.com and we will handle it. We aim to respond within 30 days, and we will not charge you or make it difficult.
9. Age
This website and our contests are intended for people 18 and over. Applicants under 18 may participate in the band contest only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Cookies
This site uses only the cookies and similar storage needed for the site to function. If we add analytics or advertising cookies in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, including HTTPS on this site and access controls on our email and files. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Links to other sites
This site links to other services, including ticketing platforms and social media. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services. Read their policies before giving them your information.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date at the top. If the change is significant and we have your email, we will tell you.
